“Skeppsholmen Tour” – The island of ships

Let´s leave the bustle of the city and enter the beautiful “Skeppsholmen Island”, an oasis of Stockholm known as the island of ships since the fleet was operating here for more than 300 years!

In this tour, apart from having amazing 360º views of Stockholm, we will travel through time and see how its beautiful military buildings have been transformed today into cultural centers and museums. We will learn how war is transformed into art, such as the history of the famous Museum of Modern Art.

Be ready to see a battle between huge Nanas and iron machines! And listen all about their dark side. We will also see where the famous King Charles XII lived with his 200 bodyguards and learn what this place has become today.  And we will learn too how a bunker is transformed nowadays into a Kid´s Toys Museum. Are you ready to see what can you find in “Fredericks lion lair”?

All these stories and others more about the culture and traditions of Sweden will be explained by our entertained guide, who will make you want to have a lot of “Fika”

Get ready to visit the famous golden crown with which everyone takes pictures to feel part of the royalty for a few seconds, all this with wonderful views of “Gamla Stan” (Old Town) and its beautiful “Royal Palace” and “Cathedral”.

We will also see if Sweden is in peace or war, and for this, we will go up to the old castle “Kastellet” from where we will also have a beautiful panoramic of famous islands such as “Södermalm”, south of Stockholm, or “Djurgården”, the island of Museums.

At the end of the tour we recommend you to visit one of the museums that the island offers with free admission.

Price: 200 SEK (Up to 2 children aged 0-12 years old for free).  We recommend you to reserve in advance, we have limited places and they fill up quickly!

Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
